This is a sketch I have done, it forms part of a larger sketch of a mass of entwined bodies. The idea came to me as I was doodling around on a piece of paper whilst chatting on the phone. I saw this mass as a kind of huge conical shape rising from a wide based pedestal, sculpted from fine porcelain and glazed white. Just like a huge cake !! I hope to get around to doing that one day…………………. I love to paper cut but not sure this would transfer to that medium, perhaps I should try.

Sitting here this morning looking out of my window, there is a vague stirring in the breeze…….. the beautiful trees still in the their winter slumber, are beginning to awaken. The air is warmer, the soil is warming and soon the small buds will swell and eventually burst open into a riot of green growth, blossoms and stems reaching their necks up to the sun. The seasons are so beautiful, something to look forward to in each one. The promise of summer and the abundance and colour it brings forth really fills me with expectation and excitement of what is just around the corner …….

this man has been such an inspiration to me………. I had never heard of him until I saw THE DRAUGHTSMAN CONTRACT my all time favourite films way back in the 80′s. Stunning visuals, captivating storyline, and haunting music. Nyman and Greenaway together made magic. His music has filled my mind so full of inspired thoughts through the years and has accompanied many of my creative endeavors.
I cant wait to see him at the Barbican, the collaboration with Motion Trio sounds awesome. Click here for details

This tree completes the set of four…………. fingers are aching!!! The work has been done for the year, its now time to prepare for the long period of slumber and regeneration, shedding the past, shedding that which no longer serves us……….
White on white has not been the easiest colour to photograph, need to do my homework here!!
