No he is not the only one, in fact I have  two little hairy monsters !! This is Ferdy, he came into my life in 1996, along with Lily, his counter part.  Having just given back two ferocious little ferrol kittens, pumpkin and ralph, back to the Celia Hammond Trust,  these little terrors  bit and hissed were off to a more suitable home on a farm,  I found myself with an empty “cat place” to fill.

So there I was ringing around for two lost little souls,  searching for two little kittens  I came across a persian breeder who was prepared to sell me two of her kittens that didnt make the “grade” so to speak, so off I went with cat basket  and son to choose these poor little second class citizens.  Sitting relaxed on the sofa with a cuppa the breeder opened the door and the cute lttle bundles of fluff entered the room, Lilly immediatly ran around along the back of the sofa and  stared at me, Ferdy was just like a chocolate box picture, his big eyes looked up and me  and was the next, I could have gone on all day like this, but only had room for two!!

I think they are just beautiful, a little odd looking after having burmese cats in the past, but I grew to love their squashed little faces.  Just recently I was having tea with a newly acquainted lady, her cat came in and it looked so deformed with its big nose!!  I mentioned to her I had two cats and showed her a photo, she looked oddly, screwed up her nose and declared “oh how ugly” !

Life goes on, a beautiful world around us, but sometimes we dont see it.  We go about our daily duties and if we live through our heads and instead of our hearts we miss the magic that feeds our souls

A path well travelled

March 25, 2009

carols-personal-mapI haven’t posted much in terms of my artistic creativity of late, have been busy creating in other areas of my life.

There are many seeds that are constantly being planted deep within, some are small and need constant tending to enable them to flourish and burst through into bloom, some have vigorous growth, some are dormant having spent all their energy on seeding themselves, resting and restoring their energy.  Some have strong roots and healthy growth that have flowered and are now bearing fruit.  As you can see by my image, there is abundant growth that constantly changes, this was actually done in 2006, if I were to to do this again the paper would have to be huge, so much has grown, born fruit and self seeded !!

One of those strong root systems with loads of new shoots that are bearing fruit is a PATH WELL TRAVELLED.  This path has been a long journey in finding me, a healing journey for many, many years, leading me to numerous adventures, teachings, teachers, therapists, workshops, training, research and books.  The path has led me far and wide, Hawaii, India, California, Egypt, China, Mongolia, to name but a few, a rich tapestry of colourful experiences.  Two of the most significant shoots that set me seeing my world differently and ultimately changed the course of my life is The Hoffman Process And  The Four Winds Society Healing the light body school, culminating in myself and two fellow graduates creating magnificent fruit in the form of our own collective teaching and workshops, LIVING ENERGY HEALING http://www.livingenergyhealing.com

During 2008 we helped many people through an energetic process that has allowed us to sow seeds for them, to see that they too can grow them and bear fruit and stand in their own true power.  For 2009 and beyond we are in the midst of producing a series of workshops THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN to help even more people start that journey.

I also do shamanic energy work on a one to one basis and remotely by phone, please visit my site at http://www.livingenergyhealer.com for more details

LIVING ENERGY HEALING

are pleased to announce

An initiatory five workshop series in Malta

from April 2009 to April 2011

“THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN”

It is the Time to Honour and give deep gratitude for this Earth and our Lives.  Time for us to stand up and step into the vision of the life we have been dreaming of from a place of power, love, gratitude and wisdom.

An opportunity to feel truly alive

The Shaman operates at the level of spirit, the level of pure energy, working with the luminous energy field that surrounds and informs the body.  In this course we will learn how to operate at this level too and thus we will gain access to the matrix of the Universe of living energies and be able to weave for ourselves and others wonderful new worlds of our becoming.

Throughout this course we will seek to connect with our inner guidance to ask important personal questions, to ask for healing and help in our life and receive practical spiritual wisdom in return. The course takes us through a process of personal development and empowerment, where ultimately we can become self-referencing human beings.

Ground-breaking shamanic teacher and practitioner Michael Harner once wrote:

‘People say that what we are all seeking is the meaning for life.

I don’t think that this is what we’re really seeking, I think what we’re seeking is an experience of being Alive.’

The Medicine Wheel as a framework for the workshops

The Medicine Wheel, originally a Native American conceptualisation, with its focus on the four cardinal directions of south, west, north and east, provides an excellent framework for our workshops.  In Peru, the ancient Inka capital city called Cusco, was known as the belly of the empire and it was built as the hub of a great wheel, the spokes of which radiated in all four directions.

The Inka constructed this extraordinary and beautiful city as a living metaphor and symbol of the world of universal energies – in this course we too learn to work with our own Cusco (or cosco in the ancient and still-living language of the Inkas) and how to understand ourselves as the hub of a great wheel of creation, spanning out in all directions, connecting to the living energies of all things.

Many of the traditions originating in Peru reflect this approach and we have found this the best way of teaching this path.

A Series of Five workshops

Each workshop focuses on the practices and teachings of a different direction.  In the final, fifth workshop scheduled for April 2011 we will bring all the teachings and practices of the Medicine Wheel together into an integrated whole.  It represents the end of one journey and the stepping off onto another, preparing us beautifully for the time to come, the Taripaypacha as the Inka named the period after 2012 – the Time of Meeting Ourselves Again.  Our True Selves

Playing on the beach in Gozo on a lazy sunday afternoon.  Creating stone circles and mini sculptures.  Had great fun, relaxing and meditating on the gifts this planet provide us.
