Full to bursting with ideas

February 3, 2013

Ideas of all “kinds” have been racing around in that head of mine, from creation myths to creating huge interior projects and drawing out designs or my new quilting obsession.

Its been awhile since I posted anything, I have been sewing, reading, writing , researching and getting ready for the workshop I am facilitating in Malta  with two dear friends,

A fruitful time in many ways, designing and detailing an interior design project thats being installed in March, and another in Leamington spa which is the most amazing building see here .  Then I have been sewing my first large bed size quilt.  Up to now have been practicing on small items, lap quilts, sewing accessories for the kitchen and amassing fabric!

In between all this activity it was my birthday, a very special day indeed, felt very loved by my two children and all my friends.

Here is a pictorial diary of the last weeks…………….  Off to Malta Tuesday, so no posts for week !

Perfectionism

August 22, 2010

Have spent some of the weekend writing up guided meditations, visualisations and all manner of stuff for a forthcoming workshop in Malta I run with a couple of friends.   In doing so I was inspired to create this image.   I call it THE MASK ………….. of perfectionism.

I have worked with many people who are crippled by this, unable to sometimes  even make any steps forward because of the immense anxiety.   Often this control comes of out of a real sense of sadness within, it cannot be revealed at any cost so the person controls their external environment to such a degree that absolutely everything around them has to be perfect. I too have this incidious trait, it can be so cruel, I have battled with this a long time, its a lot easier now I have learnt to let go a little and life has become somewhat less anxious but the creative process can sometimes be a nightmare.  Dr Estes wrote a letter on facebook about perfectionsism,  she explains it so well, I have posted it on my other blog, click here

The image is done in oil paint, oil pastels, scanned into my laptop and layered digitally……………

A path well travelled

March 25, 2009

carols-personal-mapI haven’t posted much in terms of my artistic creativity of late, have been busy creating in other areas of my life.

There are many seeds that are constantly being planted deep within, some are small and need constant tending to enable them to flourish and burst through into bloom, some have vigorous growth, some are dormant having spent all their energy on seeding themselves, resting and restoring their energy.  Some have strong roots and healthy growth that have flowered and are now bearing fruit.  As you can see by my image, there is abundant growth that constantly changes, this was actually done in 2006, if I were to to do this again the paper would have to be huge, so much has grown, born fruit and self seeded !!

One of those strong root systems with loads of new shoots that are bearing fruit is a PATH WELL TRAVELLED.  This path has been a long journey in finding me, a healing journey for many, many years, leading me to numerous adventures, teachings, teachers, therapists, workshops, training, research and books.  The path has led me far and wide, Hawaii, India, California, Egypt, China, Mongolia, to name but a few, a rich tapestry of colourful experiences.  Two of the most significant shoots that set me seeing my world differently and ultimately changed the course of my life is The Hoffman Process And  The Four Winds Society Healing the light body school, culminating in myself and two fellow graduates creating magnificent fruit in the form of our own collective teaching and workshops, LIVING ENERGY HEALING http://www.livingenergyhealing.com

During 2008 we helped many people through an energetic process that has allowed us to sow seeds for them, to see that they too can grow them and bear fruit and stand in their own true power.  For 2009 and beyond we are in the midst of producing a series of workshops THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN to help even more people start that journey.

I also do shamanic energy work on a one to one basis and remotely by phone, please visit my site at http://www.livingenergyhealer.com for more details
