A lot of my work is inspired by this very powerful imagery. So I though it as time to balance the energies, masculine thrusting energy that propels itself forward in the world and keeps everything in balance, the yin and yang, the light and the dark, the sun and the moon

Every day, since the beginning of time, the earth, the wondrous mother earth has supported us. Under our feet every moment of our lives, she is here to provide for us. The moist magical blood of the mother, the feminine energies that swell and give birth to abundance on this planet. Wonderful Pachamama.
The Divine mother comes in many guises, in Greece for example, DEMETER, mother of Persephone, tall in stature, full hipped, wide shouldered, swollen breasts always full of milk, the milky way is said to flow through her ………. as she walks the earth flowers spring from her footprints, she is the bringer of the seasons.
In Egypt, ISIS, she who gives birth to the heaven and earth, the Queen of the heavens, Mother of the gods, the light giver of heavens and she who knows how to make right use of the heart.
In Roman history she was known as CERES. in the Andean communities she is knows as PACHAMAMA,

abundance, I love that word it conjures up so much in my mind………… picture no 3, the tree is now in the fullness of its green summer coat and the fruits of the pollinated flowers are beginning to grow. Mother earth is working hard now and is in full flow……..

since my previous posting I have been hard at it with scalpel, my new scissors and reams of paper !………………….. this one is the first in series of 4 trees, all reflecting the cycles of life. This first one is the winter, when mother earth rests in deepest slumber. The day light hours are short while she takes stock and replenishes herself in readiness for the vigours of spring.
